Thankfully Zephagamon is a decently powerful deck even mostly just out of the box with some small additions of the EX set stuff, and the new ACE card. It's a little bit pricier to add those on, what with the EX level 6 being $10, but you primarily want to run the ST one anyway, and the ACE is only 5

Honestly the starter decks are usually a fairly good onboarding point, being able to combine two and have a fairly decent deck to play against things is great. The hardest thing is honestly explaining the mechanics to them, but if they play other cardgames ours is a mix of Magic and Pokemon

We could have it so much worse the format is pretty good even if purple hybrid wins most of the time. For the next one I'm probably going to have other factors added in so diversity isn't the only point. The card games in an okay spot, and it helps they took hybrid out behind the shed xD
