There's a very good reason why our city and county leaders told Jimmy Haslam to piss off, so he had to go to his GOP buddies in Columbus to get his new stadium cash.

Which is also wild because the 76 Winter Olympics were only held in Austria, because Colorado voted against funding it. So very weird it ended up in NY four years later.

It's still more likely a gerrymander would pack her district with areas of Fort Drum etc though, to make it easier to do it in the Southern Tier or the Finger Lakes.

If New York ever gerrymands, she's fucked. Just pull in slightly more of Syracuse and/or Albany suburbs, and maybe a SUNY school town or two?

also, TIL they were used as natural fencing, which makes sense now, because the trees were 30 feet high and in front of an old school natural stone wall that fronted a street.

They had a bunch of those planted at my grade school in Ohio, so there were VERY strict rules about not throwing them ever, after a teacher's car windows got blown out at recess while we were playing 500.

Every parent friend of mine who owns/owned a minivan LOVES it and drives it to death even after their kids age out of car seats. I will note most only bought that one single minivan, made it last, and rarely bought one again.
