We're at the Rapid City Area Schools Behavior Refresh Conference today. One of our elders who mentors us, Dr. Linda Herzberg, is here keeping me company and talking with people with me. We've been talking everything from basics of what AAC is to specifics of our work.

We've been waiting to see this kind of feature pop up more in various apps and devices!

Here are close-ups of our display board. We had brochures, business cards & devices for people to try. I think we probably need a video, with an intro and scenes of people using our vocab. What would you want to know more about if you walked up to our table?

Step one: get the open source Sweet Suite AAC app running on our server: complete!

Step two: customize it. I'm out of town this week for work, but I'll get on this when I get home.

This Friday, we're hosting our first virtual volunteer event through Deed, a corporate volunteering platform. We'll be having about 2 dozen people join us for all or part of the morning, and helping us do verb transcription.
