We’ve had a good butterfly year here, and my daughter set up a habitat to protect the caterpillars and cocoons, so next year should be even better. ❤️ What butterflies do you see most commonly?

In Sarasota today we marched a 700 foot pride flag across the bridge to Lido Key and back again. So much positivity. I missed Philly, but the weather and views were a lot better here!

Today my daughter discovered a hummingbird moth (one of her favorites ❤️) in our garden. Every year we plant more native plants, and every year we discover more kinds of insects. Of course, we also seem to have attracted the neighborhood skunk.

Before reading your alt text, I showed my daughter and she said (shouted), it’s an isopod!! She has an isopod terrarium. Well, we do - it’s in the living room. She is a constant photographer of bugs. She should be your intern. Here’s a last summer photo.

Tonight I saw the Transylvanian High School Choir sing. Most HS performances are best seen by friends and family. But this was just AMAZING. Professional quality, interesting repertoire, great arrangements, moving. Uplifting. Go see them.
