Oh adoption… where you have to morph yourself into a character to feel “safe”.. even that is never enough .. no wonder we are over represented in mental health & suicide stats!

I’ve now lost count of how many days this low trough has been sitting over us.. I’m grateful I’m on holidays & don’t have to drive anywhere.. roads are closed & thinking of getting sand bags.. just in case

A have never posted my dinner.. ever… but this deserves to be my one & only… freshly caught mud crab in one of the most delicious chilli sauces I’ve ever tasted.. & cooked by my biological brother who I’ve been in reunion with for just over 2 years!!! A gastronomical delight

#adoptees this is a fact… no one wants to hear adoptee voices on how hard it is to live this life.. except I am so grateful there are so many of us are now voicing our struggles that finally in my life I don’t feel like I’m going crazy or alone .. I’m adopted & it sucks

Saturday night as a primary teacher in Australia… writing meaningful Xmas cards for all your students then wrapping gifts (books! Xmas pencil & rubber & candy canes).. after cooking shortbread all afternoon for staff gifts… at least that’s done so I can do my usual Sunday 5 hrs planning
