"This is really a workshop dance" said the caller of the most difficult dance. About 1/4 of the room were competent in the call - a Plus Level square dance one. Despite having a few people who were completely new to contra, it did not fall apart - it went very very well!

Contra is a social folk dance similar to a ceilidh or square dance, all dances are walked through so it's great for beginners and experienced dancers!

We're delighted to introduce Ben Farmer and Arthur Capelier-Mourguy and Chris Dixon who will be providing wonderful live music for us to dance to at our next Contra on 1st November🎻🎹🎼
