The notion that these boats are headed to America is just preposterous. The nearest distance from Venezuela to the US is over 1500 miles. It would take 30 to 50 hours and require 10 to 20 refueling stops. Has the Navy taken out any gas stations or tankers?

ACLU does good stuff, but could do a lot more if they had a more efficient donation system. They spend 12% of their income on fundraising, and way too much is wasted on Direct Mail. They itemize the cost DM, but I know in my case the cost of all the mailers I receive each year exceeds my donation.
