Avid reader of novels, comics and manga, as well as a lover of film. You'll see little nuggets of my thoughts on these things sprinkled throughout my timeline.
Thank you @jamesgunn.bsky.social for understanding that Superman's greatest power is his kindness. This film could not have come at a better time. I've seen it thrice and counting.

Thunderbolts* has NO right being so good.

Lion King 2 absolutely should have been given the budget of the original film and released theatrically. The songs were absolutely bangers, and the story was a great progression of the first one. Of course, it probably will get one as a remake. :-/

Looks like I'll have to see the Minecraft movie.
This weekend is your opportunity to see an extended preview of #Superman before it arrives in theaters July 11!

Hopefully Superman, my most anticipated film of 2025, is great. That said, I might be even more excited for Supergirl.
Today we celebrate #Supergirl and all her various incarnations. Can’t wait for you to see the latest version, portrayed by the indomitable Milly Alcock, in June 2026.

In the running for one of the best moviegoing experiences of my life. Felt like watching it for the first time since I had not seen this film in over 10 years until yesterday.

Cannot remember the last time I walked out of a movie before the new Snow White live-action remake. This might be the first time ever. For the record, I grew up religiously watching the 1937 film and still consider it one of the best Disney films.

Halfway through the 3rd trade of Fantastic Four by Ryan North, at a coffee shop's outside porch on a beautiful day... This is officially my favorite run of Marvel's First Family. I've read all the "big" runs except Jonathan Hickman's (that will change by July-- that is--Lee/Kirby, Byrne, and Waid.

The 2nd best film of the year after Black Bag. Doesn't hurt that it stars my two favorite Looney Tunes. Please go see this!

Just read Star Wars: Jedi Knights #1, my first Star Wars comic in years. Firstly, the art and the colors are spectacular throughout. The action is kinetic yet easy to follow. There are Easter Eggs to the films that don't feel "forced." I am on board for this series! @crushingcomics.bsky.social

It's kind of mindblowing that the first two Paddington films were so spectacular that a perfectly good 3rd film manages to be a disappointment.

My latest local library pickups. Everything about Ryan North's Fantastic Four seems to be what I love about them, based on what I've heard. Also, Rainbow Rowell's She-Hulk run is an all-time great for the character. Not sure anyone has nailed Jen's voice on this level, not even Byrne.

This is the year I'm going to get back to reading Star Wars novels and comics (Legends and canon). I allowed the vitriolic rift in the fandom after The Last Jedi to ruin my relationship to a franchise I love for several years. Now I'm like "why did I care about that at all?" So here we are.

Today's next IPAD read. I've been reading New Mutants concurrently with the corresponding issues of Chris Claremont's Uncanny X-Men for the first time. I love how everything feels essential in terms of story and characters.
