Elizabeth McCracken wrote, "Grief lasts longer than sympathy, which is one of the tragedies of the grieving." There are many good moments, but the between time is bad. Occasionally awful. So I quietly mourn, sitting with my grief in those awful moments until it passes, then I go do the dishes.
