Ricardo Scofidio (1935-2025)

Landmark West! is saddened by the loss of visionary architect Ricardo Scofidio. He is known most for his work with the firm Diller Scofidio + Renfro, which he co-founded alongside his wife, Elizabeth Diller, and partner, Charles Renfro.

John Tauranac has lived on the Upper West Side for most of his life, and in the same apartment building at 900 West End Avenue for over fifty years. Suffice it to say that when he leaves home and heads for the IRT at 103rd Street, he has a pretty good sense of where he’s going.

The holiday spirit has hit the Upper West Side! We couldn't resist a visit to the tree stand on the corner of Columbus & 67th to brighten up this dreary winter day. A festive friend even accompanied us back to the office!
