Once Nikki Haley lost the Nevada primary to *literally* nobody, it was clear her campaign's ship had sailed. After that, all North Carolina did was raise the headwinds.

After incumbent Durham mayor Elaine O'Neal retired, city councilor Leo Williams defeated state senator Mike Woodard in a nonpartisan election between the two Democrats. They defeated city councilor DeDreana Freeman and 5 minor candidates in the primary.
