Oh boy. The ham.
So, this is a gammon joint we boiled in just straight Irn Bru for a while. Then we scored it (too deep - knife was sharper than expected), studded it with cloves, and baked it with some carrots and parsnips underneath.
Don't knock it 'til you try it. This was insanely flavorful.

Next: the pie. Sweet potato pie is an Incredibly American thing, so Red has never made it, let alone had it. A great opportunity!
The top got more browned than expected, but that doesn't matter. It came out so damn good and I was shocked to be eating something so nostalgic so far from home.

Next: the sprouts. I wanted to grate fresh parmesan over these, but we didn't have it, and it wouldn't have been easy to find on time. So Red grabs a cheese they DO have: Sriracha cheddar.

First, elephant in the room: My black beans SUCKED. All we had for sauteeing them was olive oil, and my seasoning was mostly chili/garlic/onion powders and cumin. Bit of coriander as it was the only cilantro analog I could find.
Not enough salt and nowhere near enough moisture. I felt so ashamed.
