You can take almost any part of a curriculum and say you don’t want your child to learn about it for this reason or that. What a limited education and life view you would have.

Why can’t parents just teach their children this is not what we believe? When my kids came across anything that I thought was not OK or different than what I believed I just had a discussion with them about it. Kids need to be to think things through and rationalize why they agree or disagree.
