Who else will I be seeing at Godotcon Boston? Looks like I'll have about a week straight of conventions in early May. Better come up with some panels.

Indie game developers talk a lot about how discoverability is an issue, and it absolutely is.

But looking at this graph, I have to wonder... is that REALLY the biggest issue, or is the (lack of) curiosity of the average gamer the issue?

I played 73 games this year. The median is 4.

I've been playing Math Rabbit with my niece lately, and I gotta say the reward loop is exactly what gamedevs should strive for.

Play a game, get a ticket, spend it on whatever you want.

Her eyes LIGHT UP any time we can visit the prize stand, and there's no gacha, no fanfare, no particle effects!

What's your game engine of choice?
I've been a Clickteam Fusion 2.5+ user for over a decade, but a year ago I switched to Godot upcoming projects.
Still I made stuff happen in that engine that to this day nobody else has dared.

Tomorrow marks 15 years as an indie dev.
If I have one piece of advice, it's that all advice is bullshit.
Do with that as you will.

Whatever the guess, be sure to add a couple zeros on the end.

Every time I let some time lapse between playing my old game, and then I come back to it, I rediscover just a little bit of magic from it. Getting this particular Achievement was a doozy, but a FAIR doozy, and I had a ton of fun playing on my Steam Deck.

Couldn't have timed this unlock better.

IDK if it's a death sentence to be critical of Godot on here, but this is one thing that kinda pisses me off.

Everywhere else in the code, these kinds of properties are called with a .

In Tweens, it's a :

I don't mind calling a tweened property as a string but consistency, please.
