I've thought a little more today about it and I actually might be experiencing alessithymia (again). I thought it only happened with negative emotions because they have more obvious physical manifestations. Welp, I don't know. I'll keep searching for something. Thank you again!

Thank you for the answer! The first part was honestly mind-blowing.
I also think that creating things doesn't make my day worse, but sometimes it makes me feel bad (in a normal way, I've seen people like me with a trained eye and a lower skill that just need to practice more).

But I still feel weird because I have so many artist friends. Why can't I feel enjoyment or pride in my work? Not even in the process. Not even if I show it or keep it hidden. Art is important for the soul, but I can only enjoy art made by someone else. I feel left out. Out of touch with life.

I'm still trying to follow inktober because I have to learn how to draw for my job. But the topic applies for writing, crocheting, etc.
I always joke that I'll try to get a nice job so I can pay artists for their work. Collecting is nice, I might do that

Genuine question. Does making art actually make you feel good? When I pick up a pencil or a brush I just want to be done, and even if I overcome thoughts like "it's ok, you can finish it later, you don't have to do it in 2 hours" and I actually finish it the end result does not make me feel anything

minimalism is unironically a scam to sell stuff that had to be made so fast and cheap that the industry had to sell the ideas that decorations were "old" so they could cut them out.
I'm a design undergraduate and when we didn't have time to make the thing pretty we called it minimal.

Aventurine reminded me of my ex (who had some issues I won't specify). The fact that Ratio's message (something rather caring knowing him) convinced Aventurine to go back... you don't listen to someone you don't care about deeply
