It's a very easy way to make a stock baddie your heroes can maim without worry, but the implications were clearly not well thought through.

I do like how Pathfinder has approached it, especially the intelligence buff to counter the usual "dumb gnoll brute" archetype they usually fall into.

I'm always very happy to see depictions of gnolls and other fantasy species that take them away from being "always evil" creatures, and that show that people from all walks of life can be caring individuals and not cartoonish monsters.

At first I was thinking about TF into Mr. Foxglove because he’s so handsome, but then I realized that because I think he’s so handsome I wouldn’t be the fox, I’d be the bat swooning over the fox. :)

You are correct, it was a point in one of the tech podcasts I listen to that the push to use Google Gemini over Assistant has resulted in Assistant features being deprecated for no good reason.

There are some movies like the Aristocats where they keep things the same but put a disclaimer about certain elements like smoking, but then they also gave the mermaid in Splash CGI hair extensions to avoid showing a butt on Disney+. Censorship is weird and stupid.

Being turned into a wizard's minion critter who's indistinguishable from every other minion critter in their lair, or being petrified in a way where no one can tell you were ever anything but a smooth, featureless mannequin

Good idea! A character like Amog has great scaling potential, but you're praying for some kind of ranged weapon early into the run because the initial poison AoE is so tiny.
