I don't think anything else has been consistently able to send a shiver down my spine then Lake Mungo. Just anything about it, any time I see a video essay that like has even a speck of the sound design. Just simply the scariest movie ever made. I can make myself shiver by just thinking about it.

glad to see people are coming together and remembering 4chan. It really ended up getting overshadowed by evil but I don't think people realize how just about every meme and for like 10 straight years came right from 4chan.

feels like there has been a sudden and sharp decline in quality of the posts twitter is feeding to me, almost all engagement slop now. bad sign.

As a medical scientist being directly effected by the grant cancellations here, it is so INSANE to see which grants are being canceled by name alone. Disgusting behavior. Imagine just searching for any politically charged terms and canceling grants with those terms without a thought. Raw ignorance.
It's getting late on Friday, so you know what that means: HHS has just updated its list of cancelled grants and programs.
The document went from 14 pages long to 42 pages.

I'm probably the biggest Rebecca sugar fan on the planet who had never seen Steven Universe. I like everything she had ever made prior. Finally finished Steven, really good I think. Steven Universe Future is 80% bad however. I hope she goes back to making strange bullshit like Singles.

not that its a bad thing because black friday was an insane day but an interesting sign of the consumerist hellscape we live in is that its just fake now. All prices get marked up to get marked down. Nobody cares. Nobody is getting trampled at wallmart anymore.
