does anyone have experience of 'warm/strict' schools (by specific, thought-out intent - often new-ish schools I guess - rather than as a general principle) that they can share? Thinking re. work-life balance etc. Like the idea but don't want to burn out #historyteacher

reporting from the other side (those of us already back to school) (1) kids haven't changed (2) they'll (mostly) be really pleased to see you (3) you will be more tired than you remember, more quickly (4) the nerves beforehand will go - you can (still) do this...

Thinking about working memory in this way seems really helpful for history teaching where we are constantly thinking about the interplay of breadth and depth, the general and the particular. #historyteacher
