President Trump’s “Great Healthcare Plan” includes some ideas with bipartisan support, like more price transparency and regulating pharmacy benefit mangers. But, they’re wrapped in partisan proposals that would undermine the ACA.

President Trump does not seem to be warming to the idea of extending the enhanced ACA premium tax credits, and instead is pushing to undermine the ACA itself.

In addition to people losing ACA coverage with expiration of enhanced premium tax credits, many are likely switching to high deductible bronze plans with lower premiums. Bronze plans have deductibles averaging over $7,000 per person.
