In 1979, I started my work in a government agencie in Sweden, and since then I have worked in several of them. Retired since 2023. I have always been fascinated by people and politics. How people influence politics and vice versa.

Jag är socialdemokrat, en kristen, judisk muslim, alltså en vanlig sosse. Jag förstår hennes målbild men saknar den politiska djupa värdegrunds retoriken som visar vägen till till målet. Den finns ju där i förändringsarbetet, klädd orden så att alla förstår innehållet och våga vara personlig i det.

As a European citizen, I must acknowledge my historical guilt for the violence we perpetrated in our colonies. When I see ICE's methods, I am reminded of images from the film about India's liberation from Britain. Suppressing the will of the people and creating fear.
Violent protests are not uncommon in the EU. Here is a French example of when we experience oppression of minorities or political injustice. Kenny Arkana describes it in her song Rage (The People's Anger). That anger, left unanswered without empathy, often turns into violent protests.
