I don’t know exactly what these churches are telling these people, bc I do not subject myself to it, but it’s highly damaging to our country’s future, and for the socialization of our younger generations.

It is a known trend that younger voters are always more progressive than the previous generation, but this trend shows a scary new precedent that was highlighted after this last election.

I also know for a fact they were telling these kids to vote for Trump, which isn’t a surprise. (14/?)

There is a huge discrepancy when we think of Gen Z voters, bc now there is this HUGE covert push from these cults to find and prey on these young, non-higher educated, white young adults who are inevitably being red-pilled in turn.

In a little under a calendar year, this church had manipulated my sister from an open-minded, loving, ally to a bigot afraid of persecution for being human. Not to mention my speculation that they’re also tithing her.

I go on to say all of this because… (12/?)

Flash forward to about 2 months ago, 3 weeks before my wedding, she hits us with the infamous words:

“I cannot attend your wedding because it no longer aligns with my beliefs, and your marriage is deemed unnatural in the eyes of my church.”

Then my sister started getting more involved. She started leading a youth group and joined their choir. She started spending multiple days at the church, so much so that she was actively blowing off family to do so, including hanging out with me.

I’m sure you can see where this is going… (10/?)

She assured me that this church “no longer believes in that” and that “queer people go to this church”. So, being that I did not attend, I took her word for it.

This church seemed to be making her happier and giving her a sense of community, so I let it be. (9/?)

I won’t name the church, but it’s a well-known Non-Denominational mega church that has been known to preach homophobia and endorse conversion therapy, along with many other “conservative” views.

You can imagine my surprise when I found out, but I tried to keep an open mind. (8/?)

My sister has been known to have anxiety and depression as it runs in our family, but after COVID, it seemed to worsen. I pleaded with her to seek therapy, but only had limited influence as I was living in Nashville at the time.

Instead, she sought the church again. (7/?)

“Do you think I’m going to Hell because I’m gay?”

She told me she didn’t believe I was damned for something I couldn’t control, and promised she would always support and love me for who I am.

Unfortunately, that all changed at the end of 2023. (6/?)
