I'm a bit of a weather nerd. I started gardening last year and got a weather station mounted on a steel pole to monitor conditions. I've found the data to be pretty fascinating. Of special note is January 21st, 2025 when the Gulf Coast got slammed with snow.

I deactivated Twitter (or X as they would have me call it; I refuse because it's dumb). It was a cesspool filled with ads and nonstop bickering and otherwise useless information at best, and misinformation at worst. So, I'm hoping Bluesky can cater to more useful and insightful things for humanity.😊

I took this YEARS ago with a camera pressed up against my 4.5 Newtonian. I believe I stacked a few shots to get this image. It's Andromeda (M31). It was mostly just to see if I could do it and given the gear I had, I was happy with the results. #astronomy #galaxy #andromeda #m31 #space #science 🌌

Lines and colors and whatnot. Most of the art I create has no real obvious meaning. I suppose this is the representation of what my thought process looks like. Some people are good at thinking in a straight line. Not this guy, lol. Unless I have to run to Walmart then it's in and out and done! 😂

I know there are some hardcore SpaceX fans out there. I was all about it for Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy. Then Starship was announced and I immediately had doubts. Ice cubes? They could almost pass for ice. These are salt grains. I have taken up attaching a prime microscope lens to my camera. Took 3 weeks for the adapters to come from China. The lens is dirty and the lighting needs work but seeing things in this level of detail is cray cray #micro #photography
