My alarm goes off in 2 hours, but I had a bad dream fuelled by the actions of the day so cannot find sleep again. Could cry but that requires energy I do not have

When I was 12 I gave my parents a picture I had done of a sunset (framed and everything) as a present. I was pretty proud of it. And for a short amount of time, they even hung it on their wall. It was taken down 20+years ago and I don't know what became of it.

I think it's quite something *insert words* that I would not have cptsd if people had just not been utterly awful, *insert many worse words* people and subjected me to their utterly unexcusable behaviours.

One of the things I've really noticed this year - for someone who grew up with trauma (and has had a very tiresome and strange year with family) - is how there feels like gaps in my longing for that Christmas cosyness.
