Been working on giving chat ways to emote on screen using the new chat cats. This is one of them..

If folk have or know of examples of emote menus (like animal crossing) id love to see em, references are wonderful.

Feel free to reach out if yah ever want to talk about the more nitty gritty stuff. I helped out with the beatsaber custom map award show (beasties) one year and learned a lot about how some of the more boring stuff works for stuff like this

The clips for awards like these will be self contained and varied..
and if a nominee doesn't win it might still drive folk to them because that clip may speak to them more.
ex:
"No hit run of Dark souls using a ddr pad"
vs
"Charity fundraiser Improv VRchat stream"
Speaks to different audiences.

A clip of someone making a joke? a small bit of asmr? you can get a taste of that creator, but not really give an audience a reason to go watch them, outside of that they won.

More targeted/ niche awards might be a better route for this? "Most innovative Subathon/special event" for example

Otherwise, I think designing the awards in a way that better shows folk off is the more important thing.

Generic "best" awards such as, "Best chat streamer" and "Best ASMR artist", typically are going to favor the big dogs

These awards also have the issue of what exactly do you do for promotion?

Yeah I think a panel is the best way of doing any sort of thing where the amount of public support a nominee can get varies wildly.

Creating a panel team of folk who are some level of expertise and diligently go through all the nominees is going to be a tough thing to do, but worth it in the end.

Yeahh, something along those lines of a more "organic" responses. just trying to figure out what sort of things would trigger, and what responses would look like.
