This is great to hear positive things about them! I've been thinking for a while about switching both streaming and buying (when I can't from the artist) to them to ditch Spotify and Amazon, respectively, but hadn't made the jump yet because I hadn't heard any actual experiences with them

My brother and I grew up on a combo of Good Eats, Mythbusters, Emeril Lagasse, and The Weather Channel, and yes we're both massive nerds (and we both really like ATK now)

I've just in the last week become very glad that my dissertation defense has been pushed back a semester because I would have been so mad if graduation (especially my getting hooded) was cancelled for a first round football playoff game

I use a water flosser! I really don't like sticking my hands into my mouth, but the water flosser still works well to clean between my teeth and around my gums, and it makes normal flossing at the dentist not hurt!

I also got that and its justification was that I listened to a lot of new releases this year. This year had some banger album releases, but I don't think that all of the albums I was listening to have teens as their core demographic so I think this thing went solely on release year

Growing up, the bigger part of Black Friday for me was going out for breakfast with my mom, rather than the actual shopping, so I have striven to keep the chill vibes since moving out

Target's buy two get one free on books and music is the only Black Friday sale I'm really planning to take advantage of. That and maybe a suitcase somewhere because I actually need a new one; one of mine is actually falling apart. Everything else is just going to be vibes

Even if this one isn't quite what you're looking for, hopefully it helps with searching for things in terms of materials and weight! Best of luck with the jacket shopping!

I have two colors of a jacket pretty similar to this one (but without a hood) that do well with mid-30s, wind, and rain, imo fit business casual, and I bet could work into mid-20s with the right layering. And they've been through the wash plenty without issues! www.landsend.com/products/fea...

I've also heard good things about Columbia and LLBean for jackets (I have Columbia sweaters and fleece that I *love*). For all three brands, definitely watching for their sales will help with the price, and if you have a credit card with rewards, sometimes you can also get gift cards to them too!

How winter does it need to hold up to? What temperature? Wind? Rain/snow? My winter jackets of various weights are mostly from Lands End, which is a bit spendier than Target or Walmart, but definitely better quality, and most if not all are washable.

I haven't had a cat in an apartment before, but had a roommate with one (undergrad apartment-style dorm) and have cat sat multiple times for a friend in an apartment. Neither cat has been an escape artist. They may come to the door and curiously sniff, but weren't interested in making a run for it
