Uncomfortable in what sense? I think anyone who gets close enough to the first family in any sense has an understanding of US politics and would know that NDAs are expected.
If the person said it like that, like there was some sort of assault or harassment it would not go well for that person.

If they refuse, then the hookup should not happen. No one would be shocked that someone would be asked to sign a NDA.

Understand that if someone signed a NDA and then went to the press, they would be in big trouble, legally. Plus it honestly protects the partner, too. NDAs are signed all the time even outside of a situation like this in the US.

Yeah, I get a lot of no responses, too. It is awful. Still hoping my org has enough funding to keep me. I like what I do and definitely don’t want to job hunt anymore.

She might be powerful but if the public thought she was a bad mother who had raised a kid with loose morals—it would hurt her administration’s ability to get things done, her legacy and chances for other Democrats to get elected.

As progressive as America pretends to be (at times), the public is very conservative about premarital sex (for certain people especially). It would be easier for Alex (as a male) but still would be unacceptable especially if there were multiple partners.

The public would care no matter what political party is in charge. In fact, the public in the US might be MORE judgmental of Democratic family members. The NDAs are to ensure that the people Alex would hook up with don’t talk. It is about the partner and not him.

The White House would absolutely be concerned about the first son and his hookups especially if he lived at home. If a child of the president gets in any sort of controversy, it reflects badly on the administration.
