Bouncing makes no sense if using saline. Bouncing is done intermittently with incremental needle advancements. The next 2-3mm advance may = DP. Continuous advancement needs only Huber rim to exit ligament for LORsaline (test it out on a simulator) It’s the Doughty technique. doi.org/10.1111/j.13...

No idea. I presume giving quality information about labour analgesia would be a key aspect so women can make informed choices when needed. Isn’t that the essence of informed consent?

Interesting #OBAnes study but is a ED90 PIMB set dose the optimal dose if the optimal outcome = no PCEA dosing? Does that not mean that a % of patients are receiving a bigger dose than they need? The PCEA benefit = individualised titrated dosing for % who need more dose without a bigger PIMB for all
