That was so good. Beautiful Cassidy too

actually looking at the geometry of the buildings these ramps might be over 9th Ave. I think this is the perspective of that rendering:

The whole project is taking place within the boundaries of the existing footprint of the terminal and its ramps and garages. The red outline here shows the project area and (I think) the yellow star shows where these ramps will be

Gimme a medium topographic, cartographer's choice

That was a fun set. I'm always a big fan of their Time Escaping cover

Just submitted to my town's 311 system which I only just now learned existed

To build on that, I want a real connection between the East Bay path and the Ten Mile River path, and then extend that one up to County Street which is more than wide enough for a separated path all the way into downtown Attleboro

I have fantasies of doing something like this with the railroad tunnel, and since it's a fantasy there's also an elevator up to street level on Thayer Street at the SciLi. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fylling...

It's nice to see good news once in a while. This link gets us one step closer to a unified state trail system. Once we can fill in the few remaining gaps, the East Bay, Blackstone Valley, Woonasquatucket River, and Washington Secondary trails will all connect!

that's only in the morning, when you supposed to be making breakfast or somebody

I love Pawtucket but I'm getting tired of being constantly disappointed by it. I've never lived within city limits, but my dad grew up there and I've spent most of my life within walking distance. So much wasted potential and backwards thinking. Wondering how they'll fumble the Apex property..

Bring it on the bus, show it to the driver and ask if they accept tap to pay

Ironically, the first time I rode it after the cuts was to get to KP after the Save RIPTA meeting. I was waiting for an R but the 22 showed up first so I got on not realizing or expecting how packed it would be

It's cool though because the head of the DOT is also chairman of the board of RIPTA, so I'm sure he must be a strong champion of public transit, right?

not to mention the headquarters of Amica

Pawtucket CF station, Cumberland Manor, villages of Lonsdale, Berkeley, Ashton, Lincoln High School & public library, medical offices, Lincoln Mall. It's definitely a string of important local destinations!

Every route could benefit from expanded frequency and hours, but this one seems like a real no brainer. I still can't believe it was up for complete elimination in the first proposal for cuts..
January 7, 2026 at 5:06 AM
It used to run on weekends, and is the classic example of a "low ridership" route that gets cut because the schedule sucks. It runs through dense neighborhoods and connects a train station to a big shopping center. If it ran every half hour, and past 6pm, ridership would be a hell of a lot better.
