Yes i wholly agree. And while specific outcomes may vary(though nowadays it seems more and more to be that the president can and is allowed to be the constitution), its about staying civil and keeping to the fundamental virtues of the people. Yes its hard, but its not worth it to raise the stakes.

I think the worry is that this line of thinking can go bad really quick and we should maybe chill out on the radical ideas , as hard as that may be in current times...

Disregarding the literal facts and numbers, it isnt that off by how countries are seen and acted upon. I think its just said in a very formal and 'expert' way to make a totally mundane fact seem like a crazy revelation. Of course you wouldnt like Venzuela to go under russian control...

Gotta disagree, the whole focus was put on the characters, which is fine if they didnt just shoe horn bad fan-service, not do anything interesting or worst of all; just make the characters have no backbone and just forego all personality. They did everyone dirty especially Eleven and Vecna.

This is a legimately difficult problem. No matter how privacy focused, we would still understand and respect the law. Phones are evidence, and wiping it on purpose should be seen as tampering and deletion of evidence. But what counts as deliberate? What about self deleting chats or general timers?

Yes. You dont go online now a days to get feedback, but to share and get verification.

I also think we just instantly assume the worst in people online, and with constructive feedback which is already hard for some in real life, getting it online instead will only make you see the 'criticism'.

Im sitting down to watch it later today and then i see this. I quite frankly dont like old movies, almost any i've watched haven't aged well (looking at you Bladerunner...), but it seems like people sat 'The Thing' holds up well today.

Beginning listening to radio is the best thing I've done. Online news is so mentally damaging, and just getting the news in whatever time and way the radio presents them is so nice. No algorithmic echochambers and no need to know every single little news announcement.
