Ahhh, I might not know the context here? (Also just saw another "you can log off" but phrased as a pretty funny joke. This was the third or so "white men shouldn't/can etc" post on the discovery section and I finally poked back because holy fuck is that a stale take in of itself.

No, I'm saying that it's terrible advice for any group being hassled.Anyone on the Left saying anything like "the solution to trans folks being hassled online is for them to log off" would be, rightfully, crucified in the court of public opinion.

I'm torn; In my heart I agree but my head wonders what the inevitable retaliation would be.
Realpolitik sucks and long term, proof we need to diversify beyond America but in the short term, they are a gigantic chunk of our economy and we are a relatively insignificant part of theirs.

I live a 5 minute walk from a rocking indie theatre and love randomly solo-ing a movie.
Plenty of upsides but the one downside is if you see a weird one you don't have that friend to "wtf was that?!?" with immediately afterwards.

It's wild seeing the hobbies that got kids bullied when I was growing up are now unironically loved by the type of folks (athletes) who were doing a disproportionate amount of the bullying.
