Vigilia Pretium Libertatis

Same name everywhere.
One of the most fun shows I've seen in a while. Entertaining and engaging throughout, apart from the final two episodes, where it swung genres for whatever reason and experienced a cratering of writing quality. Still, definitely recommend checking it out.

On episode 3 of this. The show is pretty interesting so far. I love Columbo, so the whole method of showing the audience the crime first, and then the investigator proving it is neat. I don't understand why they decided to give the heroine a special "lie detector" talent?

The show would have...

So far, The Old Man was the only thing that was impressive at any level. The trouble with current TV is that everything decent gets enough seasons to turn into sludge, so I basically end up watching shows years after they've stopped being good.

Been running through the shows that got cancelled or finished in the last season. Very few shows worth the watch. I guess 2025 was a weak crop. Nothing that's can't miss so far. Some fun ideas. Watching Duster right now. Mediocrity abounds.

Something important to remember is that Sberbank is majority owned by the NWF. There is no unadulterated data on the moskovian economy. Everything we see is dimes to dollars a rosier picture than reality. Meaning that while we don't know exactly when the economy crashes it will be sooner and worse.

If orban and fico fall, babis is alone. A window for European action would open. I hope we have time to use it.

In case you are in search of some positive news, the world is now consistently deploying more clean power than the increase in energy demand. Fossil power's share in global energy generation has dropped from 58.7% to 57.1% Q1-Q3 '25 vs Q1-Q3 '24. 17 TWh less energy came from fossil fuels.

moskovia no longer has sufficient money to maintain its war machine. All gas, no breaks, rip and tear until it is done.

You're right, of course. We should never intervene with dictatorships. Especially not ones that have generated the highest number of refugees on the planet despite multiple ongoing major wars elsewhere. Shall we go shoot some protestors or do you think we should invade a neighbor first?

Never forget that authoritarians can never be friends. Allies of convenience or necessity are the best they can hope for.

We all know who the real problems are when it comes to moskovian energy (🇭🇺🇸🇰). LNG is fungible, but those two governments have been firmly resisting structural divestment from the kremlin. 🇨🇿 is viable to join that camp this weekend. Fight the good fight and don't let bad journalism distract you. SU!
