Fair point, but I think the inherent nature of each service is very different. Public Ed is rooted in meeting very local needs through community engagement, whereas I think public health needs significantly more technical oversight. Not to say I don't think aren't big issues with school boards!

Yes, and then come up with a new way to deliver public education and employ thousands of workers for delivery of said education. You know, since that involves the spending of provincial taxpayer funding we should definitely elect some representatives to provide accountability over that spending 😉
