Build Canada has published 14 policy ideas—all of them written by men - The Logic
Senior figures behind Build Canada say it’s wrong to characterize the project as male-led and that questions about diversity distract from the issues it is trying to address.

Huge thank you to Tara for this story 🩷
Canadian tech workers are backing away from #IWD events this year, not because women shouldn’t be supported, but because so much of what’s done on the occasion is “performative” and doesn’t translate to year-round progress.

Tech workers skip Women's Day events to avoid giving false sense of progress
When International Women’s Day arrives on Saturday, Christa Hill won't be at any of the many celebrations marking the occasion.

So thrilled to have gotten this coverage from @catherinemcintyre.bsky.social at @thelogic.co - I am so grateful for her support and kindness through the entire process. The signatures are CLIMBING 📈
New: More than 200 Canadian tech founders, execs and investors are calling on their peers to continue DEI programs as pressure mounts to cull them.

"Powerful forces in our tech sector want to reshape Canada in the image of those who see inclusion as an obstacle, not an advantage."
Open letter calls on Canadian tech leaders to resist DEI backlash - The Logic
The letter positions itself as a counterpoint to recent efforts by high-profile tech leaders to influence government policy and curb DEI programs.

If you've been paying attention, then nothing Trump said about Gaza should be surprising 🤷🏼‍♀️
Jared Kushner says Gaza’s ‘waterfront property could be very valuable’
Donald Trump’s son-in-law also says Israel should bulldoze an area of the Negev desert and move Palestinians there

Anyone who is paying attention, knows this is a PR stunt to turn their (actually political) private WhatsApp that got exposed by @thelogic.co into an "initiative" for tech founders. As a founder, I'm so sick of this shit. Thank you Rachel for saying the things I'm too pissed off about to notice 🫠
Fun fact: looking at the “Build Canada” list of "supporters" (aka the rich people who will be writing/supporting its policy proposals)

There are more men named "Michael" than there are women :)

If we count “Mike,” there are double as many Michaels as there are women among its supporters.

Being quiet at this point is unacceptable.
If you are not protesting nor supporting protests or human rights, you are of no use to anyone. Only those who are serious about democracy, international law, and the humanitarian law will be able to defeat Trump, if that’s not you then get out of the way.

The DEI caused the plane crash narrative is a distraction. The tariffs are a distraction. Whatever insane nonsense Trump spews that the media will chase like cats chasing a laser light is a distraction. The only story that counts right now is the wholesale hijacking of control of the US government.
