so to absolutely no one’s surprise this little angel baby turns into a possessed hellcat when it’s time for meds

No violence tbf, just Cirque-du-Soleil-level contortionism
This old man was drooling a bunch yesterday so we took him to the vet. He stayed tucked up into a purrito the whole time, just the chillest guy

Dx is “his teeth are gross and need cleaning” btw

Finished reading Dune for the first time (book 1). Frank Herbert made a lot of interesting choices, and I look forward to seeing how they pan out across the series

I think it’s hilarious that children, like cats, are absolutely obsessed with people that don’t “like” them lmao

a cancer nurse in a state I've never been to told messaged me and said that reading out Rice Truck aloud as it happened was the only day in her entire 14 year career on chemo ward that nobody cried and it's probably the best compliment I will ever get in my life
What is the best compliment you ever received? Putting aside whether or not you believed it.

I don’t know what I expected from A Hundred Years of Solitude but the sheer amount of incest wasn’t exactly it

It’s done. I’m devastated, and sick, and relieved. She’s not in pain anymore.

I’ll suffer so she doesn’t have to

The appointment for putting our kitty to sleep is three hours from now and jesus the anxiety is as bad as the grief
October 4, 2025 at 5:39 PM
Tomorrow will be the day we didn’t want to come.

Our elderly kitty got worse, her tumor is causing her a lot of pain. We’ve known for a while now that her time was near, but it’s never easy to make the call.

It always feels like too soon.

so my kitty in paliative care is on gabapentin twice a day, which means we constantly see her conked out and assume she’s dead 😃

is this normal???

I need to come up with a final paper for my discourse analysis class

I could take it seriously… or I could analyze “gaylor” discourse on X

we bought portable humidifiers for all of us and currently mine is mostly set up for our elderly cat

She gets nasal congestion often (just like me) and seems to really enjoy the mist!

Autism likes to jumpscare me sometimes

I’ll think I’m doing so well and then I’ll wake up one day and my brain will just… refuse to do the thing. It’s a really weird sort of mental paralysis

All of this to say I’m ready for class but actually leaving feels impossible
August 26, 2025 at 3:27 PM
I was about to leave for class when I suddenly started having really bad nausea

Now I’m afraid to order an Uber and puke in someone’s car 💀

Lost my cat Danny to cancer in Jan, now it appears my 15yo cat has a nasty mouth tumor 😔

No answers yet, but palliative care is probably the best we can do moving forward
