There was a clear need for services that were tailored, flexible, and understanding to the complexities of supporting a child with SEND.

Parents told us that the main contributing factor to their own mental health difficulties was the lack of appropriate care and support for children, describing that they have to fight for the support their children deserve.

Our report exploring the experiences of mental health support available to parents of children with SEND in and around the York area is now available!
