LOL. The behavior updates from daycare/preschool are hilarious. The favorite one I ever received was: "James is a very sweet child but needs to stop licking his teachers' faces."

It's always good to have a charcuterie platter on hand in case Jesus drops in unannounced.

This is a wonderful initiative! Kudos to our mayor and to Under the Radar Festival for making it happen.

I'm pretty sure that kid meant to say that her glasses look extremely cute and smart. Perhaps a mean spirited alien hijacked said "friend's" brain momentarily. In any case, glasses rule and haters drool. ;)

Devastating. Was grading my own students' final papers, took a break and saw that my college roommate's son at Brown is okay but terrified. As a professor and a mom to college-aged kids, this feels so close. And so heartbreaking.

Freeing myself from the obligation to travel. Driving hours to family worked until I had a child with extreme motion sickness. It took courage to switch it up but we created new traditions and the OG fam sometimes even travel to us. Traditions should be an anchor not a straightjacket.

It's really unseemly for me to be so smitten with him at my advanced age.

OMG, I'd blocked out Mothering Dot Com! Lots of strange bedfellows on those boards in the late 1990s/early 2000s.

💯 I went on a group birding walk this morning and it was 2 hours of joy. If we don't step away from *all this* regularly, we will not have the stamina to fight it.

My 17 yo sent this to me last night. She was like "how did you adults actually vote for this clown?"

lol. And is every third utterance a "why" question? I remember that age. I had to issue a "three why limit" on my kid. :D
