I would try doing the two halves separately and gluing them together because I also struggle with molds. You can also find those kinds of dangling crystals by searching for "chandelier crystals" and get a decent number. If your mold isn't flammable, you can also pop bubbles you see them w/a lighter

If you give your resin container a warm water bath, it draws bubbles to the top and you can pop them with a lighter. It helps a lot.

I've been using uv resin which helps. It's done a lot faster
