My kids were immersed in their own imaginative play so I decided to open my book. Ofc that’s the exact moment their delightful and quiet adventure came to an abrupt end 😭 💀

I thought by the time I became an adult, I'd stop overthinking every conversation.
Today I heard my kid tell their grandma: 'Mom said to tell you we're busy this weekend but really, she just wants to binge Netflix in her pajamas at home'
Clearly, my communication skills need work.
