Home from a great day watching the Red Roses against Samoa in Northampton. A sell out crowd & plenty of tries scored.

Everyone should make the effort to attend women’s sports!

Pretty thrilled that I’ve finally managed to get my hands on a ticket to see Englands Red Roses vs Samoa at Franklin Gardens in Northampton.

Home World Cup? Supporting women’s sports? Yes please!

This is my local! Indie bookshops are pretty rare in Birmingham but The Heath Bookshop is lovely. Have preordered or picked up a new book numerous times & then maybe I stumble into the indie bakery opposite.
The winner of Independent Bookshop of the Year (sponsored by Gardners) is The Heath Bookshop 🎉

Breathing a sigh of relief. Aston Villa safe for another season.

There’s nothing more frustrating than having to sit 8 rows further back in a theatre because you’re going alone by choice & you cannot leave a single seat.

I wouldn’t want her in the same bathroom as me to be fair.

She could give her opinion without using a slur. Her opinion is wrong, but she could still give it without being transphobic. That whole party is just hateful.
CONNOLLY: The gentlelady has used a phrase that is considered a slur in the LGBTQ community

NANCY MACE: Tranny tranny tranny, I don't really care, you want penises in women's bathrooms

Villa Park for some WSL action.

Villa fan but hoping to see the Chelsea debut of Keira Walsh in the second half.

Giving Patience a go on Channel 4. It’s must be based on French crime drama Astrid: Murder in Paris, which I love. It’s almost identical.

Life has been missing women’s football over the festive period.

The Arkema Première Ligue is back though.

Carrying on the dedication to watching women’s sports into 2025. Spent the afternoon watching Bristol Bears vs Gloucester-Hartpury on TV.

Record crowd of 9,240 (double the previous record) to see the debut of the Queen of American rugby, Ilona Maher.

Women’s sports is growing!

I like to watch as many award nominated films as possible at this time of year. Tonight I watched Emilia Pérez. It’s a musical crime movie. Yes, that’s right, it’s a musical. It was unusual, but I really enjoyed it.

Highlights were Mary Queen of Stops with some classics & the mass booing of Korbin Albert.

All in all a good day out despite the scoreline.
