More pics of Angel from Cambridge. One things that was special about her was one green eye, one half blue, half brown eye, but that's hard to capture in pictures.

My parents looked after her for 6 months while I was sorting things out overseas in Cambridge in 2013, they had a great time taking pics of her.

Farewell to Angel, the best cat ever and my little buddy for over 20 years. We started and finished my PhD, my postdoc, and over a decade at Cambridge. She was 21 and loved the sunshine, sitting on my lap, sleeping on my head, and getting white fur all over my black clothes. More pics to come:

Love and solidarity to UK trans people today. Trans people exist, trans people have always existed and will always exist. Trans women are women and feminism without trans women is fascist feminism.
Sisters not just cis-ters pink red and black design with fabulous women.

The most valuable degree for the world at this moment in history isn’t STEM- it’s a gender studies degree

Haywire masculinity frameworks are a transnational concern- and quite frankly a national security concern at this point

“The Order directs the Vice President...to work to eliminate improper, divisive, or anti-American ideology from the Smithsonian and its museums, education and research centers, and the National Zoo.”

The Zoo? Really? “Those zebras are much too diverse.” "Get rid of those gay penguins, Fred."

Are you asking basic questions because you're writing a piece on this? Would you perhaps rather interview me and/or consult more of the vast literature on this?

If you can stomach buying from Amazon, UK people can get the kindle version of Judith Butler's 'Whose Afraid of Gender' for 99p today-- an analysis of the role 'anti-genderism' plays in the global far right authoritarianism.

Super excited to fly to the US next week. Can't wait. Very normal.

Mine used all caps, the phrase 'put some respect on their names' and also, much cursing, which won't do anything but made me feel better than doomscrolling at least.

So, the National Parks website for the Stonewall Inn removed the 'T' yesterday for 'LGB', erasing Sylvia Rivera, Marsha P Johnson and many others. The site also has box for feedback and suggestions (was this site helpful?) in case you feel like a cathartic rant, fyi. www.nps.gov/ston/index.htm
Stonewall National Monument (U.S. National Park Service)
Before the 1960s, almost everything about living openly as a lesbian, gay, bisexual (LGB) person was illegal. The Stonewall Uprising on June 28, 1969 is a milestone in the quest for LGB civil rights a...
