like it always was IMplicitly transactional, but i don't remember her saying "I'll do it on one condition" and then getting into his personal space, tilting her chin up, and closing her eyes. like very explicitly "i will be your good little soldier if you give me physical affection"

...was the quattro/reccoa kiss that explicitly transactional in the show? I dont remember her literally going "I will only go along with this battle plan if you kiss me" -- iirc it was more quattro being like "I'm pretty sure this is what I'm supposed to do about women wanting me"

they... reanimated a scene of quattro and blex walking down a hallway so that they could have quattro untie the belt of his trenchcoat, undo a couple extra buttons, and strike a cunty pose for like 2 frames. i like the look on him too, guys, but surely the budget was best allocated elsewhere!!

Somehow the animation changes feel even more jarring and arbitrary in this one. I can't imagine trying to watch this as a standalone cinematic experience. They seem to have reanimated this one scene just to put bright in his jammies.

Why does the second movie start with quattro having to lasso beltorchika. Is it JUST so he can marvel over how gently amuro pilots the gundam to cradle the plane. Obviously not but that's my primary takeaway
