Sometimes this stoneware gets a white flash in wood kilns, and this teacup got a bit of carbon trapping as well! The variability in wood kilns is a source of constant inspiration 🤓

Bizen chasing 🤓. Testing new clay, I fired 4 of these 湯呑み in the train kiln at the end of 2024. The amount of iron makes it risky for how hot we fire but 3 out of 4 cups made it!
