It can be incredibly hard to see your progress when recovering from depression or burnout. The whole world keeps demanding certain benchmarks of you to the point that it’s easy to feel like a failure despite your hard work. Remember your progress is your own journey. Every win means something.

I’m beyond hyped to get into Harandar and really dive into what’s happening there. The implications for Elune and Druidism could be absolutely wild.

As I’ve discussed in another post I think there is evidence that Harandar is deep below Moonglade and Mount Hyjal if the Rift of Aln is a fixed point. If this was also a cradle of Elune it makes the location of and translation of Lake Elune’ara (the home or altar of Elune) make even more sense.

A great darkness comes that festers within her and she removes her children/eyes and sends them to the heavens to protect them. This fits the concept of a nascent goddess disappearing from a “cradle” perfectly imo.

If you are unaware of the Tauren myth “The Eyes of the Earth Mother” they believe that Elune (Mu’sha) is one of the eyes of the Earth Mother and sister of the Sun, An’she. In the legend the EM keeps her children/eyes deep within her and opens and closes her eyes to allow them to bring day and night.

Alright. It’s nerd out about wow lore time while being as spoiler free as possible.

Something that sticks out to me is the description of the cradle in Harandar being “once the domain of a nascent goddess long vanished” and may imply the cradle is where Elune once was.

Inktober sets completely unrealistic expectations regarding output. Making a complete inked drawing in one day EVERY day for a month is insane and a recipe for burnout. Don’t tie your worth to something that even professionals believe is unrealistic.

If people don’t communicate their needs, issues, or triggers and hide things from you only to unleash them like a deluge that’s toxic as hell. You deserve people around you that will have those hard conversations, communicate clearly, and foster actual community. True friends grow together.
