He can't unilaterally eliminate federal holidays. It takes Congress to abolish or create them. He says things like this on Juneteenth because he is a racist piece of garbage and is trying to change the discourse from all of the other horrible things going on.

I feel like these award shows are a waste of time and money. It seems to just be everyone in the same business patting each other on the back. All of the money could be donated to those who are in need in LA.
