100% she did that in Rocannon’s World. They were classified/ranked using letters and numbers. It depended on how evolved their language was, how friendly they were, and how pretty they looked. basically.

It also ignores the fact that in spite of my insurance being super good I cannot know how much a procedure will cost, that this cost is variable and up for negotiation, and that the cost incentives are determined by the worst parts of humanity.

This ignores the fact that we all know that we will retire and the quality of our coverage will drop significantly. Our current situation might be good, be we know it could change dramatically in an instant.

I don't think I mind the use of LLMs for coding _per se_. Even in interviews. But you have to be able to not only solve the puzzle, but also to reason about it.

3. Most of all, they made a simple off-by-one error that they weren't able to fix. The question made an arbitrary choice that was _slightly_ different than the LLM training set. So the code didn't even work in the end.

1. They coded from top to bottom with every line being fully fleshed out. Not how people code. They usually code from outside to inside.
2. They were unable to answer basic questions about their code. "Why did you make this choice?" Etc. They kept saying that they would answer questions at the end.
