I guess being pissed off and needing to see the character redemption faster was good motivation

Carmine by Lysander Arden

Historical gay coming-of-age story. I cried the entire time while reading this novella

Little Mushroom by Shisi; translated by Xiao

Post-apocalyptic and dystopian setting for a very slow burn m/m romance. Main character is not quite human. 🍄

This duology is definitely on the darker side, but at every turn, I was so hooked on finding out what would happen next.

Game Changers series by Rachel Reid

My introduction to m/m hockey romance, and still my favorite. Game Changer is the one I have re-read the most, but The Long Game is my favorite.

To the Moon and Back by N.R. Walker

Ultimate comfort read for me. Male nanny x single dad romance. This book will not be for everyone; it's very fluffy, very cheesy, and baby-heavy. When I'm in need of some smiles, I always go back to this book.

Moth (Monstrous series) by Lily Mayne

This series made me fall in love with gay monsters, which I did not think could happen. Moth is my favorite of the series.

Roommate Arrangement and Budding Attraction (Divorced Men's Club) by Saxon James

My fav m/m romance series. Older men finding love again. Full of spice and fun. (these are my favorites from dmc)

Falling Down by Eli Easton

This m/m romance novel shows a glimpse into the bleakness of struggling with suicidal ideation. Josh's character arc and the romance between him and Mark is so heartwarming.

Wrath by Ellis James

A heartbreakingly beautiful m/m romance that covers topics of familial and religious abuse, queer awakening, forbidden love, and some sports to top it off.

Angels Before Man by Rafael Nicolás

I don't think I need to say anything about this book. It's truly a queer classic from our era in my eyes. Read it if you haven't; it will change you.

Rowan Blood (series) by Kellen Graves

My introduction to indie books and a beautiful fantasy world rich with magic, romance, and queerness. The latest installment, Herald of the Witch's Mark, is my favorite thus far, and has made this series a definite favorite of mine.

The Way of Kings/The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson

I haven't finished this series, but the first two books have earned it a spot as a favorite of mine. Kaladin is probably my favorite book character ever.

Call Me By Your Name by André Aciman

This book may be controversial, but I will always adore it for the depiction of Elio's coming-of-age as a queer person. Reading this while soaking up the summer sun created a feeling I'll never know again

The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

this book reignited my love for queer fiction and altered my brain forever

maybe I should ask the author how long this character is present but the idea of even implying what my deadname is to someone makes me want to vomit
