So sad. Morley, the Very Best Basset Hound, passed away last night (14.5 years old). Lynda and Dusty were at his bedside. Love and sympathy to both of them. Morley was a wonderful dog.

Murder and Intrigue Roil the Waters in Laury Egan’s Mystery Novel, ‘Fair Haven’ - Two River Times
Sometimes, a peaceful setting can be deceiving. Like one of those British mysteries set in a seemingly picture-perfect village across the pond, murder and mayhem may lurk in the most serene-appearing ...

Although Wheeler wrote a collection of stories unified by the two characters, Kent and Spencer, Mercedes General could have been a novel because it’s a continuous story beginning as two boys meet in 1966. Kent thinks: “When I looked at him, it felt like finding the right piece of a jigsaw puzzle.”

A review: “Fair Haven is a murder mystery and it expertly weaves the complexity of the characters and explores their depth. At the end I had suspected every character of being the murderer. It's a quiet picturesque town where nothing much happens especially murder until it does!”--Leanne Dagan
