On May 3rd, the Eco-Sustainability Office joined the @laschools Arts Fest with two hands-on activities combining sustainability and creativity. We invited students and families to plant California poppy seeds in compostable pots and imagine their dream school garden through drawing. #artsfest2025

The Eco-Sustainability Office is piloting Aeroponic Garden Towers at 8 LAUSD schools, bringing innovative, water friendly, and soil-free gardening to students.

LAUSD’s Board of Education has approved a landmark $122 million investment to power our schools with clean energy. The program will install 15 megawatts of solar capacity across 21 campuses, reducing our carbon footprint while generating long-term energy savings for our District!
