Ahhh alt text doesn't show for me unless I click a photo, there is a good silver cleaner that was recommended when doing museum studies, if I can remember i will send it your way (there was a candle stick tarnish mystery at our local museum so they had to constantly clean)

This kind of colour is called a patina, some find it really desirable because it shows the age of the items. I think it's lovely and shows the memories of the pieces

I know that some writers prefer to hold back their fics and post on a schedule only once they are done. Either way might be good if you are worried the writer gremins are coming for you
