Finally got my new Framework 16 from @frame.work! I haven't bothered buying a new work laptop in ages, but my old one was on its last legs.

Here's hoping I'll have this thing for many, MANY years.

There's something very satisfying about writing visualizers for algorithms.

Parry and hit to send back projectiles. This feels good, but it's a bit lack luster in presentation. Maybe just a bright line along the trajectory instead of a dotted line?

Fast travel deluxe.

Now I just need to make sure you can't abuse it by leaving every tougher fight instantly. Weighing between a timed solution ("stand still for X seconds before travelling") or a "blocked while fighting" solution. Suggestions?

I have a toddler at home, so tonight's project is trying to extract a toy motorcycle through the port of a loudspeaker.

Wow. That image was wildly low-quality. I guess I screwed something up during upload. Here's a full res one.

What started out as me learning #rustlang ended up being the entire editor for levels, AI and more for Crow's Curse (and hopefully future games). I'm quite proud of this editor tbh. #gamedev

Ah. The humble beginnings of an AI tree for a boss.

Well. This bug cost me several hours of my life.

I should stop buying stuff, but I just couldn't help myself. Look at this thing! Apparently a jv1080 with a sequencer and a keyboard attached.

I love having that 3.5" drive on it.

Cleaning the attic and finding stuff I forgot that I own. Does anyone still use these? I remember having a hard time getting used to the controller.

Kind of tired of writing AI by hand. Added a behaviour tree editor to our game engine's editor. Should be fairly doable to visualize debugging too, I think.

Now I can finally watch my AI make bad decisions in real-time.

Hello Bluesky! Finally set up my profile. Kind of forgotten how to start over with empty social media accounts but here goes:

I'm Eric. Founded Decemberborn Interactive. Made a game called Cathedral. Ported it to a bunch of platforms. Mostly here to connect and talk shop with other #gamedev people
